This Privacy Policy explains how TruthScan AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service at truthscan.fun. By using TruthScan, you agree to the practices described here.
No Accounts: TruthScan does not require sign up or login. We do not collect your name, email, or any other personal identifier to use the tool.
Chat Content: When you paste a conversation or upload a screenshot for analysis, the content is sent to our AI provider (Groq) for processing to generate your result. We do not store your chat content or screenshots, and there is no scan history — each result is generated fresh and not saved.
Anonymous Usage Data: We generate a random, anonymous device identifier stored in your browser (not tied to your identity) so we can see how many times a device has used a tool. We also detect your country (not your city or precise location) from your network connection, to understand roughly where visitors come from. Neither of these is linked to your name, email, or any personal detail — we never ask for that information directly.
We use anonymous device and country data purely to understand usage patterns — for example, how many people use a tool, and roughly which countries visitors come from — so we can improve the lab.
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use your chat content for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver our service.
Anonymous usage data (device id, country, page/tool activity) is stored securely using Supabase. No chat content, screenshots, names, or emails are stored. We take reasonable precautions to protect this data from unauthorised access, but no system is completely secure.
We understand that the conversations you analyse on TruthScan are personal and sensitive. We treat this data with care. Chat content is processed by Groq's AI API solely for the purpose of generating your analysis result. We strongly recommend not including full names, phone numbers, or other identifying information in chats you submit for analysis.
TruthScan uses the following third-party services to operate: Supabase (anonymous usage data storage) and Groq API (AI analysis). Each of these services has their own privacy policy which governs their use of data.
We store a randomly generated, anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage so we can recognise repeat visits from the same device. This is not a tracking cookie and is not linked to your identity — you can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

TruthScan is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
